US Air Force to have World’s Most Powerful Stealth ‘Intercontinental Bomber’
All might (We all) know that America is one of the most powerful countries in terms of its defence forces. As per the latest reports, the US is going to add more to its already powerful defence system. Has anyone of you heard about World's Most Powerful Stealth 'Intercontinental Bomber' which will be added to the US air force soon? If not, here you go!
The name of the bomber is Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider. It is the most modern powerful stealth ‘Intercontinental Bomber or heavy bomber currently being developed by the US. This aircraft looks like a bat and it has no tail.
Actually, what does it mean by Stealth 'Intercontinental Bomber'? To know that, first we need to know what a stealth aircraft is. Stealth aircrafts are designed to avoid detection by enemy countries using a variety of technologies such as radars. That means this aircraft attacks in a more sneaky way as the enemy will not detect its presence in their air space.
Now, what is a strategic bomber or 'Intercontinental Bomber'? It is a penetration bomber aircraft. It is designed to drop large amounts of weaponry (?) (warheads?) from air to ground. It targets a specific object at a distance and destroys it. At present, there are only three countries that operate strategic bombers and they are the United States, Russia, and China.
The most important reason is that with its unique skills, it can hit heavily guarded or protected targets. For example, like military barracks, factories, cities etc. It can carry both nuclear and conventional weapons and can make use of one bomb bay. Bomb bay will enable this to carry eight bombs or missiles at a time.
Moreover, the B-21 will be the first bomber aircraft loaded with surveillance, communications, drone, or electronic warfare packages to carry out a variety of missions to places that are otherwise inaccessible.
As per reports, this unique and powerful bomber aircraft will be in service within the next two years. With this, it’s sure that the already powerful US defence forces will touch new heights.
