Stay active, stay healthy 

It’s important to check whether your kids follow a healthy lifestyle throughout the vacation. Introduce good fruits and nuts to them. You can even help them to cook delicious salads using fruits and nuts. How interesting it can be! This would help you develop a beautiful bond with your kids. 

 To keep them physically engaged, enrol them in swimming, dance, or yoga classes. It can vary according to your kids’ skills and areas of interest. These activities will help your children move their bodies and stay healthy.

New language, new experience 

It’s never too early to start learning a new language, it can be beneficial. It helps in improving your kids’ communication skills. At young age itself, children show more interest in exploring new things. A new language will open up perspectives that are new to them. Children adept in other languages also exhibit creativity and mental flexibility. 

Sit with your kids and make a schedule to start picking up the target language. The target language should be decided by incorporating your kids’ interests too.  Close to the nature 

Gardening with kids is one of the easiest ways to get them interested in nature. Take a walk with your children in your garden and ask them to name the plants and flowers. Also, help them plant some seeds such as peas, beans, spinach etc. these plants will germinate and grow rapidly, which makes them interesting for any kid (even adult) to watch. Water the plants with them and teach them how plants grow from seeds and bloom beautifully. Ask your kids to track the plants’ growth and jot them down in a diary. Don’t think about perfection. Encourage the bookworm 

Reading teaches kids about other people’s feelings and emotions. Interesting, right? Reading helps to understand different cultures, characters, genders, disabilities, shortcomings etc. Reading during the summer vacation helps children to become creative, focused and sharp. Take your children to the nearest library. The library consists of a huge collection of books that your child can look through. They also can choose the one that they like. Tell them stories you have read before. It will encourage them to read more. You can plan a trip to the nearest book store and ask them to choose a book by themselves. It will make them more amused to get home and start exploring their new book.  

Journal the summer 

It’s vacation time. Your children must be having some fun experiences and adventures. Capturing all these fun moments can be done in number of ways and one of them is to write them done. Make sure you get a proper journal for your child. It should be a comfortable one because the beginners should feel good while writing. Remind your child to date each entry or date it yourself if your child is on the younger side. Journaling is about recording the moments. Children experience the same range of emotions we do, but most of the time, they are not aware of it. They don’t know how to sense and regulate those emotions. When your child is feeling happy, angry or low, you can suggest journaling. It’s a great way to feel these feelings and make a way to tackle them. 

 Camps for Champs 

Summer camps are places where children can have some fun in a safe and controlled environment. Most camp activities focus on giving kids a good time while learning something good. Your children may discover interests in things that can amaze you. Being allowed to make their own decisions and doing things all by themselves often builds confidence. When they are put out of their comfort zone, they start learning how to adjust, understand and compromise to different scenarios and situations. They will be able to make the best memories of a lifetime with new friends, new skills and a new environment.
